Clownerstrike actually makes use of a very cool physics system as the core for the game. I apologize.  I thought we had the problem fixed but apparently we don't.  Sorry to all those who have been trying like mad to play the game and keep getting that god awful "Your CD key is invalid, blah blah blah".  This has to do with the packager for the game content, not the content itself.  Please email the maker of "UMOD wizard" and complain profusely.  I'm deciding to scrap it and go the old fashioned way.  A zip file!  Here's the instructions on where to place this wacky clown stuff. 

1.  Place the "clownerstrike" folder into your UT2004 root directory.  This is usually C:\UT2004
2.  Place the contents of the "System" folder into your UT2004/system directory.  They are two files named "Clownerstrike.u" and "Clownerstrike.ucl".  
3.  If you want music, place the two files located in the clownerstrike/music folder into the UT2004/music folder.  This is a known bug and we are working on fixing the problem.  
4.  Thats it!  If you fire up Unreal 2004 and look in the community section under user maps and mods, you will see a place to "activate" the mod.  Once you do so, the game will exit out and start back up in "Clownerstrike" mode, complete with awesome GUI interface and tantalizing circus fanfare.
5.  Enjoy on a LAN with friends!

Bugs:

1.  Player stacking point system is buggy and easily cheated.  This has to do with a problem concerning the "on touch" function. 
2.  Sometimes PIE shots to the blue team (evil clowns) doesn't produce the whited out view port.
3.  Anti-clown ray / bubble blower does not produce collision with objects caught in its beam.  this is a known issue.
4.  Missing bubble blower particle effect.
5.  Animation states for handheld items still do not play.
6.  No player animations states other than default unreal animations.
7.  No elephant in game
8.  No grandstand textures.
9.  Buttercup's skin is a bit messy, this is an artist-in-practice issue.
10. Player collision with objects sometimes goes out of sync with the clients and the server.  This is a known netspead issue we are trying to work around.

1.  Find the clownerstrike.umod file...double click it for the goods.
2.  Should show up in the Community Section under mods...activate the mod from there.
3.  LAN servers and playing locally are best...internet may not be so hot.  Try it with a listen server but only use it to spectate.

Fixed a number of issues with the last alpha release including - 

1.  clownerstrike2.ini file removed
2.  MainMenu music removed (don't know how that got in there)
3.  Game functions out of clownerstrike directory only!
4.  Two clown meshes are in!
5.  4 clown skins are in!
6.  All gag's are functional!
7.  1st person meshes are correct
8.  Team play goal is intact and functional
9.  Music in place for the map

Bugs:

1.  Make sure you have WinRAR installed on your computer - uncompress the file using winrar.
2.  You should be left with a clownerstrike.umod file...double click it for the goods.
3.  Should show up in the Instant Action Section...scroll down to the Custom Game Type Section.
4.  LAN servers and playing locally are best...internet may not be so hot.

5.  CLS-GameReplicationInfo does not behave properly with the ClownMutator.  Preferable to leave
    the mutator out for now!
6.  Don't copy in the folder that says "dont use broken".  Nuff said.
