This is a great one on one map. The creator says that all of the textures and static meshes are original, and I don't doubt him one bit. It feels a little reminiscent of DM-1on1-Idoma, just because of the sheer number of paths you can take. Defininitely worth a look.
================================================================ Title : Mobius Labs Version : 1.0 Release Date : 02/15/2006 Filename : DM-1on1-MobiusLabs.ut2 Author : Sundeep 'FunkaDelic' Dass Email Address : firstname.lastname@example.org Website : www.sunny-d.com Levels by author : UT2004 DM-1on1-MobiusLabs Models by author : UT The Jester : UT2003 Mechanatrix : UT2004 Mechanatrix, Mechanatrix_ver2.0 Credits Design, models, and textures were done by me. Special thanks to Huntere45 and TheVillageIdiot for the pre-release critique. ================================================================ --- Play Information --- Game : UT2004 Level Name : Mobius Labs Single Player : Botmatch Deathmatch : One on One New Music : No New Sounds : No New Textures : Yes New StaticMeshes/Models : Yes NewUnrealScript : No Known bugs : None (but please email me if you find any). Things that you might think are bugs, but aren't: The hanging lamps have collision that will block weapon fire, but not player movement. That means players can jump 'through' the hanging lamps in the level. I did this to prevent people from standing on the lamps and camping. Also, there is a texture used in the level that looks like it could be a stretched texture, but it isn't. Look closely and you can see horizontal lines breaking up the vetical pattern. --- Construction --- Editor(s) used : UnrealEd 3.0, Maya 7.0, Photoshop CS2. Construction Time : Working on and off for about three months. Author's Notes -------------- This is my first map for any of the Unreal games. I previously made character models for UT and UT2003/4, but I have always wanted to build a custom map with original art. I created a rough multiplayer map design for one of the commercial games I worked on (Project: Snowblind) and I really enjoyed the design process. There's more decision making in design than there is in making art. The ability to dictate flow and tension through map layout is incredibly fun and rewarding when you achieve your desired intention. I wasn't looking to make the most complicated map for UT in this effort, so I'm fairly satisifed with the results. I hope you enjoy playing it... Installation ------------ Unzip the files into your UT2004\ directory. The files should automatically go in the correct subfolders. If they don't, here's where you should put them: DM-1on1-MobiusLabs.ut2 - Maps MobiusMeshes.usx - StaticMeshes MobiusTextures.utx - Textures Copyright / Permissions ----------------------- copyright 2006 Sundeep Dass If you want to use my Static Meshes or Textures in your level, you may do so. All I ask is that you give credit where credit is due and not claim that my models and/or textures are your creation. I also ask that you leave my original StaticMeshes and Textures packages untouched (Don't add, remove, or extract and then modify any of the content contained in these packages.). If you decide to use my work, please notify me by email when you release your map so I can play some new maps using my stuff! You are NOT allowed to commercially exploit this level, i.e. put it on a CD or any other electronic medium that is sold for money without my explicit permission! You MAY distribute this level through any electronic network (internet, FIDO, local BBS etc.), provided you include this file and leave the archive intact. ---------------------- Unreal Tournament 2004 (c)2004 Epic Games Inc.
