A fairly large indoor DM running on a futuristic factory/metalworks theme. High playercount to keep things busy owing to the convoluted layout. Lots of layered z-axis fun with both a geothermal vent and a metal smelter to avoid falling into.
Unreal Tournament 2004 Map ================================================================ Title : AfterPride Version : 0.95 (as done as it's going to get!) Release Date : 21/07/2006 Filename : DM-AfterPride.ut2 Author : James Atkinson (Solitaire) Email Address : firstname.lastname@example.org Description : My first (semi-) completed map for UT2k4. Never quite got it working the way I wished... and I bet the usual "but it's only my first map" excuse won't stop it from getting flamed ^_^ Oh well, better luck next time I hope. A level with fairly high complexity, a few jumppads, lots of transparencies and z-axis "fun" thus the high recommended player/botcount to keep the rockets flying. Still some non-critical problems with decorative elements... Feel free to tweak this map to your own liking (or just delete it if you think it really flat-out sucks) Construction time : 2 weeks including the redevelopment Technical notes : Had some problems with the packages, if you were wondering why I'm using two custom statics and one custom texpack AND myLevel package groups for both... Credits : to everyone crazy enough to map and mod for this game, not to mention Epic for the game itself ;) ================================================================ --- Play Information --- Game : Unreal Tournament 2004 Level Name : AfterPride (DM-CBP2-Kadath.ut2) Game Type : DeathMatch (FFA or Team) Single Player : Yup Deathmatch : Duh Capture the Flag : In development (seperate map) Double Domination : No Other : No Difficulty Settings : Whatever you like, although keeping the bots at higher levels will see more fluid action Multiplayer : I'd LIKE to say Yes but I doubt you'll see this on many servers... New Sounds : No New Graphics : Some level-specific textures New Static meshes : Some very basic new meshes and lotsa reskinned stock meshes... Known bugs - Non-functioning TriggerLights at the switches - Some fog and buoyancy problems with the lavavolumes still - Flame exhaust emitters still a little unconvincing IMHO --- Construction --- Editor(s) used : UnrealEd 3, The GIMP Base/Inspiration : AfterPride for UT2k3, a map so crap I never even released it... Installation ------------ Unzip the .zip archive into your UT2004 directory with the option to keep directory structure and it should dump everything in the right place. If not, then: 1. Decompress the .zip archive 2. Enter your UT2004 installation (normally *harddrive*:UT2004) 3. Place DM-AfterPride.ut2 in the /Maps folder of your UT2004 installation 4. Same with AfterPride.utx except it goes in the /Textures folder 5. AfterPride.usx and AfterPride2.usx go in the /StaticMeshes folder Copyright / Permissions ----------------------- This level is copyrighted by James Atkinson, 2006. You are NOT allowed to commercially exploit this level, i.e. put it on a CD or any other electronic medium that is sold for money without my explicit permission! You MAY distribute this BSP through any electronic network (internet, FIDO, local BBS etc.), provided you include this file and leave the archive intact. Feel free to use the map itself and all the custom stuff included in this file for your own maps without asking permission as long as they're NOT commercial projects or contests, just put my name down in the credits. If it IS a commercial projects or contest entry (which I'd doubt!) contact me beforehand with details (and why you're mad enough to use any of this junk in something important :P ) ---------------------- UNREAL (c)1998 Epic Megagames, Inc.
