It's the first complete level I've made entirely with the new UnrealEd 2.0. This is simply a small 4 player CTF. I guess it would be suitable as a training CTF map too. UnrealEd 2.0 allows tetrahedron based spheres unlike the original UnrealEd, so you can now make domed skyboxes such as the one found in this level. I recommend you turn on 'fly' go up near the ceiling and take a look at the skybox. It shows how this is done and how much more realistic clouds moving across a dome is than simple sheets. You could add more layers of moving clouds by adding a smaller hollowed out sphere inside the original, deintersecting to cut it to size and then having it only 1 sided and transparent. Until we can build complex sheets, I guess this is the only way to do it. This level is also a good example of the basics of CTF creation. Take a look at it in the editor to find out how FlagBases work, how pathnoding works (in correlation to the flag), how to assign teams to specific playerstarts and flagbases, and how to do location strings. The level is entirely complete, with all the required components of a level. ================================================================ Copyright / Permissions ----------------------- This level is copyright Rick Miller (c) 2000. Authors may NOT use this level as a base to build additional levels (unless you beg me). You are NOT allowed to commercially exploit this level, i.e. put it on a CD or any other electronic medium that is sold for money without my explicit permission! This INCLUDES putting it on ftp.cdrom.com which have a tendancy to do just as such or any other major ftp that bundles cd-roms out of what they carry. You MAY distribute this level through any electronic network (internet, FIDO, local BBS etc.), provided you include this file and leave the archive intact.
