1UP.com was able to get permission to view a demo of UT2007, something that is kept behind closed doors at the Epic booth at E3.
Here is a sample of their story:
For the demo, Epic's lead level designer James A. Brown led us through a sample level, though one that is planned for use in the final game. The map takes place on a large street, but the street itself isn't the showcase. The most impressive part is how fully realized the city in the background looks, with extremely detailed buildings in sight far into the distance, each displaying an impressive array of colors. Thanks to the technology, walking down this road gives off the sense that you are surrounded by a massive world -- something that isn't possible at any decent quality on current generation consoles.
.
According to 1UP.com's story, the PC version of UT2007 is expected to be released in 2006. Also, according to them, it is not certain if the game will be made for the next generation consoles, but they expect it to at least be made for the X-box 360, though this is contrary to the fact that the game demonstration occured on a PS3. I guess the UT2007 console issue is still up in the air at the moment.
