The Liandri SuperCollider has been responsible for breakthroughs in Slow Field technology as byproducts from the experiments were discovered to effect matter & mass. Prolonged exposure to these particle byproducts though have shown to effect ones molecular structure and is being researched for possible uses in Invisibility technology as well. However, direct exposure to the SuperCollider beam is almost always fatal & should be avoided at all costs. Dr. Helen Boson, Head of particle research at Liandri Corporation, holds a private unsanctioned tournament at the SuperCollider lab. She taunts contestants barking orders from her control room, ready to flip the SuperCollider switch at any given moment.

Oh man! HONESTLY this is the best user-submitted map I've played so far in UT3. It's large for a deathmatch map, but that's just fine by me! The effects, story line, theme, and use of kismet is outstanding. It's hard to describe this map, you just gotta download and see for yourself. Truly a unique map, and sure to become a hit on DM servers. I had to play in god mode so I could take a tour of the place....lots of post-processing effects that really hypnotize.

KNOWN ISSUES/BUGS:
GAMEPLAY
1) AI
   * Bots have trouble navigating off the top of lifts despite having liftexits
   * Pathing to Redeemer removed due to 'one way paths' not working.
(Comment: I always have some sort of pathing issues every map. If you're a pathing guru, feel free to tell me what's wrong with my nodes)
2) Collision
   * Inside of Collider needs a blocking volume pass

NON-GAMEPLAY

3) Misc
   * Collider Trap death message is telefrag message
   * Ceiling fans stop rotating when player isn't near 
   * Further optimization required

My third map. This particular project had gone through many variations. DM-Collider was the 4th name. It started as DM-Cumulus and was on an outdoor station platform in the clouds (eg: Bespin). It also had a ship land and drop off a darkwalker (eg: Heatray).
The indoor area had much better gameplay so the entire outdoor area was scrapped. It was renamed to DM-Powerplay and soon after DM-PowerTrip after rigging up visual and audio cues in random fashion to alert players to certain available powerups.
I wanted this to be a key feature in the gameplay, having a psycological effect on the player & make it more difficult to 'control' the map. I had bots rigged to rush the announced powerup to create mayhem in those areas, however bots would not abort the move
once the powerup was taken and would continue until reaching the powerups base. This i did not want so this feature is disabled for the time being. The map also had a room trap (eg: Biohazard) that they player could control via a switch. It worked well but was avoided by bots
and its a very common setup and I wanted an edge. I came across an article on the Hadron Supercollider and DM-Collider became the final name. The trap was altered into a cylinder Collider that fires at random intervals so players would never know when it was about to go off.
