These three rivers are placed so unnaturally, they must be constructed by goblins, but so unintelligently they must be commissioned by ogres. Nevertheless, they provide the perfect setting for an intense conflict.
Ever wanted to play the classic game of rock paper scissors... melee style? Well, then this is the map for you!
The 3 rivers on this map are placed right along side the bases. Travel along the outer arm of the river to the right of your base and you will reach an expansion conveniently located near a goblin ship yard. Using the ships from the goblin ship yard puts you right at two entrances to one of your opponents bases. You can either launch an ambush right in the thick of their base, or you can opt for the sneakier back door approach which allows you to attack them from the rear or hit them at their otherwise, completely unassailable (by ground) expansion.
So, in this way, red has the drop on blue who has the drop on teal who has the drop on... well, you get the idea: rock paper scissors style melee.
The 3 mercenary camps in the center also deserve mentioning. I put the 3 merc camps in the middle as an insentive to (can you guess?) not ignore the middle. If your army just got whiped out, your chance for survival lies in a quick trip to the middle. By hiring mercenaries from each camp, you can instantaneously replensish your troops, which may give you a fighting chance. However, note that each camp still has its own set of creeps... In your comments, please let me know what you think of this experimentation. Depending on what you guys tell me decides wether they stick around for the update. Thank you, and enjoy!
