This is a great game based on a great story! This map has a lot of nice features, such as: Vexorian’s hero selection system, Voluntary duel system allows you to invite another player to duel, and the spells available are a nice touch, to name a few.
I think you will find this map alot of fun to play, See the readme for a list of fixes and more information.
Map Author: Blade.dk Description: At the very heart of Azeroth an arena lies. Whether human, orc, elf, naga or demon, everyone's dream is to win there and achieve the greatest honor possible: to be a champion of Azeroth's Arcane Arena. Suggested Players: 12 Map Size: 64 X 64 Tileset: Cityscape Released: 8 September 2005 Last Updated: 19 October 2005 Download: AAAv1.4.w3x (591KB) Version History More details: - 22 Heroes all with different abilities. - Tons of Jass Enhanced spells and items, an average of over 3 custom spells per Hero. - AI that controls computer players and players that leaves the game's Heroes. Heroes under the effects of this AI will move, attack, pickup and use items and learn and cast spells. - Team based (4 teams with 3 players on each), meaning that you won't see those nasty all vs. one fights. - Each player has to vote for the wanted game duration. Then the average time is calculated and the team with most kills when that time has elapsed wins. - Is pretty balanced, no cheap tomes in shops for example. - Multiplayer-friendly size, but not totally ripped of custom models/icons. - No leaks, meaning that the map won't be slower as time flies. - Pretty fast loading time and execution time, so it shouldn't be laggy. - A Hero selection system that doesn't suck (Vexorian's). - Help menu and tips that makes learning how things works easy for people new to the map. - Inventory system featuring a backpack and equipable items. - Duelling system. - You do NOT have to type annoying text messages to activate special features. -------------------- Please report bugs and give me comments and suggestions. v 1.4: Fixes/Improvements: - Fixed the bug with different spells pausing the same units in the Airy Charge and Toxic Sliver spells. - Fixed some tooltip errors. - Lots of code improvements, should make the map faster, during initialization, exitting and the game it self. - Fixed a bug that prevented the winner of a duel from getting bounty if the other duellant was killed by one of the neutral spell effects in the duel area. - Fixed a minor memory leak in Airy Charge. The leak was not very important, but it was able to create problems by interrupting other spells. - Fixed a lot of bugs with the duelling system and spells that moved the unit. - Fixed the Geyser tooltip, it said that it dealt 500 damage, but it was actually increased to 800. - Fixed a horrible bug that allowed Guardian Angel to revive Hero illusions, and thereby giving the player more Heroes. - AI controlled Heroes will now attack as soon as a duel starts. - Fixed a bug that caused Charge to not destroy it's effect and also changed it so the Knight will face his target during the whole charge. - Fixed a bug that caused Rune of Rejuvenation to do nothing at all. - To send out/accept a duel challenge, players need to have at least 20% of their maximum hit points, this should fix a bug that happened when a Hero died just as he/she/it casted a duel control ability. - Removed smoke from the two most used fire models, this should help agains lag. - Stone of Health and Stone of Mana haven't got regeneration bonuses anymore, was causing trouble with the Inventory System, and I didn't find them well for being equipable items. Balance Changes: - The duelling system will no longer give items to winners, it was causing imbalance since tank Heroes won the duels almost every time. - Increased Stomp's cooldown. - Reduced Rune of Invisibility's duration. - To send out/accept a duel challenge, players need to have at least 20% of their maximum hit points.
