An interesting and fun map from some first time WarCraft3Files submitters, Thalassicus & Con-Quest. This map, which is inspired by Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the PlayStation 2, is a classic co-op dungeon crawl that is built on the foundation of the simpler Balin's Tomb maps for WCIII: RoC. Once inside Balin's Tomb, you will choose from one of nine Heroes and fight to survive and escape the depths of Khazad-dûm with a group of companions.
Some of the features of this map include:
- Nine heroes with diverse playing styles. From casters to fighters, ranged to melee, from fast-clicking action (Meriadoc & Peregrin) to a more relaxing pace (Boromir) -- there's something for any subtle difference in playing style.
- Two bosses and eight minibosses to discover, plus three checkpoints along the way dot the underground landscape.
- One unlockable in-game cinematic should Gandalf survive to the Balrog.
- Automatic difficulty scaling and other features to ensure that the challenge will remain on an even level, regardless of the number of players at the start, or players that leave along the way.
- Team co-op gameplay, combined with the competitive element of building the best hero by the end with the highest score. Recommended players: 3-9.
- Two difficulty settings: Normal or Hard.

I worked on them off and on my freshman year at UTD from around the May before Frozen Throne came out, to the August after the expansion's release. I've been working on the map again since Summer of '06 and play it off and on for a break from other things.
