The window mode in Warcraft 3 does not show the mouse in the game window. This utility will allow players to play Warcraft 3 while keeping tabs on things happening on the desktop, such as instant messages or e-mail alerts. Mousetrap is for those busy gamers that don't want to miss a thing, but still have fun.
Some days before I found a program called MouseTrap on a German board(http://www.essential-freebies.de/board/viewtopic.php?t=13394) by 'Kostenlos'. At first I was happy with the feature(trap the mouse) it provides but after a short period of time I missed some and bagan to add my own features. This tool is very useful for warcraf3 because its windowmode doesn't trap the mouse. Configuration for Warcraft3/Warcraft3 TFT: 1.At first download the folder and unpack it somewhere on your Hard disk. 2.After that you should run "Config for Wc3.exe" (expert users can edit the MouseTrap.ini) ->Now you can select whether you want to configure Mousetrap for 'Warcraft3 Basic' or for 'Warcraft 3 TFT'. ->After you selected the right option you just have to click on "Enable config" 3.Finally you can start the MouseTrap.exe, the main program. ->At the first Window I recommend to click on 'OK'. This should start Warcraft 3 / Warcraft 3 TFT in Windowmode ->As soon as warcraft loaded you will notice an additional window in the left upper corner, this is the edit window. ->Now run a "Local network game" (your name / map / the number of opponents doesn't matter) ->When you are in the game, the first thing you should do is to select whether you want a Fullscreen Wc3 or a Window Wc3. after you decided you just have to klick on the according button ( 'FullScreen' or 'Window' ) ->Now you can move and resize the wc3 window to your desired position. By pushing the buttons in the edit window. ->After you are done you have to adjust the mousetrap area so that you can scroll over the map by moving the mouse on the border of the Gamewindow. ->Last but not least you can close Warcraft3 and start the MouseTrap.exe again. Now deselect the option "Editmode" and click on 'OK' Note: ->You have to do '2.After that you should run "Config for Wc3.exe" ' only again when you want to switch between Warcraft3 and Wc3 TFT ->You can stop Mousetrap from trapping your mouse by either selecting another window (alt + tab) or by pushing the selected keycombination ->You can change some parameters by editing the "MouseTrap.ini" Credits: Thanks to Insignium for finding a major bug Thanks to Kostenlos for the permission to share this program ( and for the fast answer ^^ )
