File Description

The Insomniax Recompilation is a very user friendly and easy to setup compilation of the best User Interface modification for World of Warcraft; it has changed a lot since the first version I released back in December of 2004, however the quality, presentation and commitment to our online community remains the same. While a lot of work is put into maintaining and improving this compilation, credits for all the individual mods that make up the compilation go to the original authors who give us their free time and effort through these great enhancements to the game.

THE INSOMNIAX RECOMPILATION
Version 1.12.02
September 1st, 2006 by Led Mirage
=======================================================

I am very happy at the current status of the compilation as we are finally getting out of months of beta status, the term beta was used all along very casually since the beta versions had only very minor issues and always were fully functional, the only thing they lacked was a polished release with more coherent documentation, now with that out of the way we will have time to work on new features to release in the near future, expect some cool things soon!

As of this release the Insomniax Recompilation is now a team effort with LedMirage still in charge of the compilation but with much needed help from Ascendant (Coding, Tech Support) and great team of guys who help doing everything from Tech Support, testing, writing FAQ's to helping moderating the forums: Ashius, Kobol, McBadAss, Grim and Ves - thanks guys!

The community that spawned through our forums has been very supportive and ever growing; members of our forums consistently help each other and some of us go the extra mile providing everyday free technical support for any mod related issues to anyone needing help even when it is not related to this compilation; members have contributed with suggestions on how to improve and expand the compilation, others help with little bits of code to fix problems or expand functionality and a few other very kind users support us through donations, offering website space, bandwidth and anything else we may need for the project. Huge thanks go out to every one of you!

INSTALLATION
=======================================================
It is highly recommended that you make a clean installation of the compilation. I personally put a lot of time into making sure the first initial default settings are as tolerable and user friendly as possible but only new users (or clean installations) would have noticed this; if you are an advanced user then use the Quick Installation method, otherwise you should use the Clean Installation method, both are explained below.

Clean Installation (Basic Users):
-------------------------------------------------------
Use this method if you are new to mods and do not understand how mods work in World of Warcraft, this is the recommended procedure.
1. Exit the game

2. Delete all the contents of your ..World of WarcraftInterface folder

3. Make a Backup of your ..World of WarcraftWTF folder, you only need to do this if you want to have a backup of data from mods previously installed, for example Gatherer, Map Notes, etc.

4. Delete your ..World of WarcraftWTF folder

5. Delete your ..World of WarcraftWDB folder

6. Launch the game without any mods installed and log into the game with one of your characters

7. Exit the game

8. Extract all the files from the Insomniax Recompilation Zip file making sure to use folder names and point to your root World of Warcraft folder.

9. Launch the game

Quick Installation (Advanced Users):
-------------------------------------------------------
Use this method if you have a good understanding of how mods work in World of Warcraft and can easily solve common mod conflict issues on your own.
1. Exit the game

2. Delete all the contents of your ..World of WarcraftInterface folder

3. Extract all the files from the Insomniax Recompilation Zip file making sure to use folder names and point to your root World of Warcraft folder.

4. Launch the game

=======================================================
Known Issues and workarounds for Insomniax Recompilation v1.12.02:
=======================================================
* BeneCast will not snap it's buttons by default to the custom Discord Unit Frames even though I have customized the SnapTo values, to make it snap to DUF, make sure you choose SnapTo: Discord from the BeneCast control panel options (The Wrench Icon).

* In some cases MetaMap will not display Map Notes for the Instance maps, if this happens to you, bring up the Extended Options from the MetaMap button, then click the Import tab and once there hit the Load Import Data button, after doing this the MapNotes LOAD button will light up, press it and you will have loaded the default Map Notes for all instances.

* DiscordUnitFrames will NOT save your changes if you do not create your own custom set; All you have to do after you make changes is to make sure to create a new profile by hitting the CREATE NEW button under MISC. OPTIONS and give it a name.

* In some cases the colored background of the default casting bar may appear stretched vertically, this is due to a conflict between TitanPanel and CT Mod, you can find the solution here ( http://www.insomniax.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1798 ). You will NOT see this problem if you use the newly included eCastingBar.

* In some odd situations (much older saved variables conflicts) the Insomniax_BibToolbars will be stacked on top of each other and/or errors will popup, if this is the case the easiest way to fix it is to do a clean installation of the mod, if you need to specifically only clear out the files to fix this mod look for more info in this thread ( http://www.insomniax.net/forum/showthread.php?t=340 ).
